Activa Multimèdia takes part in the AV-MOV project, whose objective is the development of an intelligent information system for transport users
Activa Multimèdia takes part in the AV-MOV project of the AVANZA I+D subprogramme of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade (MITYC), whose objective is to research into and develop an intelligent automated platform to manage and publish multimedia content in real time for means of transport. Thanks to this system, travellers on transit, such as bus, underground, train or ship users, will access interactive information about services from any device – mobile telephone, PDA, computer, and so on.
This intelligent system will take into account the traveller’s profile and needs and will constantly afford them the chance of obtaining information about the various options of transport, about itineraries and the time to go easily from one place to another. Information about transfers, delays, tourist and cultural information about the destination, possible incidents, time of travel or multimedia entertainment are just part of the content by way of example of what can be offered.
The consortium that works in the AV-MOV project is led by Dominion Tecnologías and is completed by 13 further entities: Activa Multimèdia Digital, Alcaidesa Inmobiliaria, Balearia, Fundación Centro de Innovación Turística de Andalucía, Fundación para el Desarrollo de la Ciencia y la Tecnología en Extremadura, IHMAN, Ingenia, Retevisión, University of Vigo, Politechnic University of Valencia, Vicomtech and Vilau media.
